For all our family and friends who live outside of Jerusalem, this is a virtual Mishloach Manot for you. We miss you all so much and wish we could have celebrated with you. Israel is amazing on Purim- come visit!. Still, virtually, we hope you enjoy the poem Aharon and I sent out with our mishloach manot and the Purim Still Life photographs.

These are a Few of My Favorite Things

Raindrops on roses and juicy persimmon
Bars of milk chocolate and sweet humentashen
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Seudahs and Seders and crisp apple streudels
Gragers and knockers and schnitzel and pretzels
Close friends that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things

Girls dressed like Esther in blue satin sashes
Raindrops that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Rainy grey winters that drip into springs
These are a few of my favorite things

When the news bites
When work stings
When I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad
